A l'occasion du Salon de la Photo de Paris, en 1973, la société DIMAPHOT, société de DISTRIBUTION DE MATERIEL PHOTOGRAPHIQUE CINEMATOGRAPHIQUE ET OPTIQUE, présentait ce petit appareil venu d'on ne sait où. Il s'agit d'un appareil simple, destiné à la jeunesse.
En 1980, une marque Yamatar est déposée à Paris, par ACC Inter SA. 183, rue Lecourbe, 75015 Paris, en même temps que les marques Susis, Swallow, Unik, Ultrawider, Viola, Weinberger, Yokoyama, Yumica, Zelox, Zenph, Zevnar, Zivnon, Zoomar. Il y a eu renonciation à ces marques en avril 1982.
